[Important] Notice of Credit Card Identity Authentication Service "3D Secure 2.0" Implementation

To enhance security and prevent fraudulent use of credit cards, cryptact will introduce the identity authentication service "3D Secure 2.0" starting April 1, 2025. This will allow our customers to use our services with greater peace of mind.
What is "3D Secure 2.0"?
"3D Secure 2.0" is an identity authentication service provided by credit card issuers to ensure safer credit card transactions. When registering or updating your credit card as a payment method, you may be required to authenticate your identity using a one-time password or other verification methods. This helps prevent unauthorized use due to stolen credit card information.
Implementation Date
Scheduled for April 1, 2025 (Tuesday)
Impact on Customers & Important Notes
- You may need to set up authentication passwords or other verification methods in advance through your card issuer's website. Please check with your credit card issuer for details on how to set up 3D Secure.
- Some previously registered credit cards may no longer be usable after the introduction of 3D Secure 2.0.
- To check whether your credit card supports 3D Secure 2.0, please contact your card issuer.
- The authentication method and the authentication screen may vary depending on the card issuer. For specific details, please reach out to your card issuer.
